“Montana’s unemployment rate is continuing its downward trend, as employers continue to feel more confident in our economy”, said Labor Commissioner Pam Bucy. “Despite job growth being slower than last year, our economy is gaining ground and getting stronger every day.”


“The President commended the regulators for their work but stressed the need to expeditiously finish implementing the critical remaining portions of Wall Street Reform to ensure we are able to prevent the type of financial harm that led to the Great Recession from ever happening again.  The President also discussed the housing market including the need for a more simplified and certain housing finance system that better serves middle class families.”

“Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and his top advisers will meet with China’s Minister of National Defense Gen. Chang Wanquan at the Pentagon Aug. 19, Defense Department spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren told reporters today.”
