Missoulian: Lolo National Forest
begins recreation use surveys
Forest Surveys to Begin in October
“Beginning in October Forest Service and contract employees will be conducting recreation use surveys at selected trailheads, recreation sites and even on some trails across all five Ranger Districts of the Lolo National Forest. The surveys are typically done every five years and the results are used to help the Forest Service better understand visitor interests and use patterns of the Lolo National Forest. Ultimately, the data helps managers make future management decisions to meet public need and demand.”
